An old time favorite, large leaf Sweet Basil is a garden must-have for cooking and as a beneficial companion plant to the tomato garden. Cut back numerous times during the growing season for side shoots and bushy, healthy plants. They also grow well in pots, and thrive with very little care. I believe the "strong shall survive" in my garden. You will appreciate my motto!

This Auction: You will be receiving 15 seeds from my garden. They will be sent First Class mail. I am happy to say that my seeds tested 99-100% germination within 2 weeks at a temp of 70°F in the spring of 2013. Excellent for beginners!

Propagation Method: From seed, sow seeds indoors 6 weeks before last spring frost. Sow 3-5 seeds per pot. About 10 days before the last spring frost, begin hardening the plants to the outdoors. Transplant your plants to a sunny location.
