Description
The listing, L@ Mystery Stone @K has ended.
This beaded bead is made of twelve stone 5mm beads. I do not know what kind of stone they are. Some told me they thought it was Rhodonite though the color and texture doesn't seem right to me. These beads are not perfectly round they have little bumps. The gray on this stone reminds me of hematite though I'm sure it's not hematite. The pink varies from a light almost white pink to a very dark close to red pink.
If you can tell me what this is I'll add another beaded bead your choice. Red Jasper, Snowflake Obsidian, Dalmatian Jasper, Green and Pink Mystery Stone, or another Gray and Pink Mystery Stone.
Questions & Comments
I would agree that these are rhodonite. It can vary in color from a very light pink to a dark pink and a light gray to a very dark gray. I have some stones that are very similar to these.
Sometimes Leopardskin Jasper comes in these colors. I have some small freeform cabs and some chip beads in these colors. This might be Leopardskin Jasper, but it would bear further investigating. :-)
This is indeed rhodonite just because it is not all smooth and its not what one is used to but it actually is rhodonite i have some just like it roughness and all.....
Sorry, it is Leopardskin Jasper. Tara_Miller wins!I have been making jewelry using gemstones for 20 years and rhodonite has different shades of pink (with a grey tone to it) and & more blended in its pink and black colors. This has a spotted pattern of shades of dark colors and deep a rose pink (with a touch of rust color) only leopardskin can have.. It is a close one though. with so little of the pink in it to tell! Rinda- can you see the difference now in the spotted pattern? Jo
