Description
The listing, Gold Bar. 1 Troy Ounce in a see through case. has ended.
100 mills, . 999 Fine Gold Bar. It was won at those car dealership places, really don't think it's worth anything. Has a small crack on the case as shown but can be taken out I guess.
Fun for the kids to say they have some real gold.
Questions & Comments
I believe this is gold clad/plated. Still cool for some collectors but not really worth anything.
It doesnt say if it is real gold or gold clad. It says 100 mills.999 fine gold. Like I said, I won it at a car dealership, it was the gold they gave if you didn't win the car.
It's sealed in the case, I'm sure the case can be broken since it has the crack in it already, (as seen in the picture) but I don't want someone to win it with a completely broken case, if that makes sense... but the gold bar has never been touched, since the case has never been open.
"100 mills" is yet another term invented by manufacturers to replace "plated" because it sounds better. The amount of gold required to plate an object is miniscule, as the layer is only a few molecules thick.
Not really misleading tho, as it clearly says, I'm pretty sure it's not worth anything in the description and another time on a comment, and the fact that I won it at a car place instead of the car, don't really think anything is being misled
