I have here my second Xbox 360 slim laser is comes from my own xbox 360 slim. You may need to change the dials for the polarity of the laser, shown on the second picture. (it's the 2 Philip screws)

will it work in a xbox 360 that not the slim and does the laser read discs good..i just had to adjust the parameter on the laser in mine the other day cause they was gettin weak and would not hardly read but it still does not read like it should

It won't work for anything other than the slim. I adjusted it thinking it would work, but it was really the contraption that holds the laser that was broken. It reads disks great, there is no real proof that it does.

ok thank you yeah they are tricky to adjust i went through like four laser lens before getting the adjustmant like it needed to be on my xbox cause the ones in the fat 360 cant be adjusted any lower than 3.0 and cant be adjusted about 3.5
