Description

The listing, Apple Ipod Classic 30gb (5th Gen) needs new battery FREE S&H! has ended.

Used Apple Ipod Classic 30gb (5th gen) model A1136
This worked for a long time then finally gave out. Most likely it is the battery that needs to be replaced (so I am told by an Apple employee after testing it). Initially when plugged in it says "very low battery please wait" then it will try to power on, and it dies out again. It will show the apple logo brightly (pic 1) then it will dim out, then goes back to the bright logo. As long as it is plugged in it will show power, and tries to boot up, but it wont ever get past the Apple logo.
You can new batteries on Ebay for $3-5 w/ free shipping.
Should be an easy fix. I no longer this one so my loss is your gain. This does have quite a few scratches on it, but it is very durable and a great ipod to have.

**IF THE Get It Now IS USED, I WILL INCLUDE A NEW USB CABLE/CHARGER**

FREE SHIPPING IN USA ONLY.

I just checked on the Internet and there are companies out there that will sell you the battery and tools to replace and instructions on how to do it. Runs about $20. Cool.

I am not sure. I was told it was the battery. at first when plugged in it says "very low battery please wait.." so I guess the battery has no juice.

Yes is/was mine. My fiance has an ipad air and we have an iphone so we really dont use this one. I have had this ipod for quite some time so I wouldnt doubt that the battery finally gave out. I dont know for 100% that it is the battery, but the guy at the apple store told me it should be and everything I know about the ipod is in the description on what it is doing and what it says. Beyond what I stated in the description about how it acts and what it is doing, that is all I know about it now. So my guess (and the Apple tech's) it is the battery. My suggestion is that if you are not sure and you are skeptical about winning this, then please do not bid or win this. I would hate for you to and then in the long run somehow it would waste everyones time and money.

i just don't want to buy for a part then find out something is gone ( i need the click wheel and a screen) so if the logic boards faulty ... wont mater
