Description
The listing, Collectable Wolf Painted on Ash/Clay Plate with paw-print stand has ended.
Wolf painted on approximately 1/2 inch thick plate of kiln-burned mixture of ash and clay with a second piece of ash/clay mixture used as a stand for the plate with wolf paw-print on it. What is so rare about this piece is the ash used in the clay comes from Mt. Saint Helens volcano when it erupted.
No sir, I wish I had. I did some pottery and clay crafting in high school, but nothing as good as this. I was a OTR truck driver for eight years and I bought this during one of my trips. I drove in 48 states, so I don't remember where I bought this or what I paid for it. I just thought it was real unique especially the claim that ash from Mt. St. Helens had been incorporated into the clay.
I remember when I was in college, we were all scrambling to get a few buckets of the ash. Long time ago. Is there a date on the piece and is it signed? F&W, pfb. :-)
