The listing, 1920's milk glass sugar shaker. has ended.
This is a very hard to find milk glass Sugar Shaker from the 1920's. The front is embellished with a black basket with red flowers and the word Sugar done in black. The cap is red metal and retaines most of its orginal red coloring. The shaker measures 4 1/4 inch. Bottom to top and is a typical art deco design. There are no cracks, chips, or blemishes that i can see. Bottom is insized TIPP-USA 15. Listia rules apply.
thank you for watching..you're right,if you're a foodie there's nothing like the old stuff to get you going.AND it doesn't break two seconds after you use it:)
I'm waiting for a vintage scale to appear on here! That would be the find of the year for me! Love the durability of the old stuff! Like Fire King! my dad used to throw the plates on the floor to show them off! lol
what kind of old scale are you looking for?there's a ton of them, all different.i come across them every now and again.i just got mid-century onion dicer that i'm thinking of putting up and i have a flour shaker that matches the sugar that's up now.i'd kill to get my hands on some fire king jadite anything.:)
anything like these: http://www.devoecreative.com/2011/02/vintage-find/ http://www.decorsteals.com/hanging-grocery-scale-clock.html like the bowl top style Would LOVE for you to post the flour shaker too - I'll have to ask - how many more pcs do you have of these shaker / pattern stuff?
the flour shaker isn't up yet.trying for today.i had the salt/pepper set but it sold a few weeks ago.saw the clock scale.i have a real hanging one that is very much like the one you want.except the face is in lbs./ozs. and there is no hanging tray.the scale i have can use an s hook to hang whatever you want to hang.i never put it up because it weighs a ton and i don't think i can afford to ship it.so i've kept it in my store. hope this helps.
I did - my bad - The design of the clock one is what I'd like in a scale - and I like the green counter top style too! I'll prolly keep looking at some local flea markets when the weather warms up and the snow (twelve foot snow banks here in Michigan) melts. I think I may be up for an antiquing weekend!
i'm an antique dealer here in norfolk and i haven't been able to go scouting either.sunday it was 65 here and on monday 26 with sleet, ice and snow and on it has gone.i keep going in my stash to find stuff to bring into the store.:)
