Can you tell me how to use these? Is it just wax coins that you melt in a design with a heat gun type tool?

Yes, you pretty much got it there. You use kind something that has maybe your initials or a small design that is very hot and press it into these wax coins to seal envelopes closed or to seal a photo or picture onto a scrapbook page. They are really awesome looking when used, but I just don't have a use for them since I don't scrapbook. They are typically pretty pricey too I believe.
