The listing, Antique skeleton barrel key has ended.

A wonderful old hollow skeleton key. This has been around some time. It has signs of wear and wonderful patina. It measures 2-1/4 inches long and 3/4 of an inch wide. No markings on this any where.

Questions & Comments

I'm trying to find a key to fit my grandmother's desk. The round hole at the top is 0.25 inches or 6 cm wide, and the total height is 0.5 inches or 13 cm. It does require a barrel end as shown in your photo.

Sarah772 the total height from top of barrel to bottom of the notch is .50 or 13 mm. I think your measurement of 13 cm is off as that would be very big. As for the hole it measures 5 mm. Hope this helps and please respond so I can get a better understanding of your measurements. Thanx, Bill

Sarah~keep in mind that old skeleton keys didn't fit tight into key holes like today's keys fit tight in locks & also, if this key doesn't turn, U can no doubt relist it & recover ur credits ;-)
