Well, here ya go! I got this off Listia a couple of years ago, figuring I'd take the time to figure out exactly what it is. Yeah....right!
I still have NO idea what it is. It's what you see, in a gold tinted metal. Nothing else I can say about it.
Maybe someone else would like to take the time and trouble to research it.

The weird thing is, I know what is coin is with out researching. It is a 1849 Mormon Coin.
They should be made of gold. Most likely you have the replica. The brass replicas weigh about 8 grams. The correct weight for this piece is 14.3 grams.
The only scale I have is a postal scale. It weighs .4 ounces. I don't know what that equates to in grams. It really doesn't look like brass, though. Thanks for the info.
Yes it's a replica of the 1849 Mormon $20 gold piece. They sell these at Mormon museums and historical site gift shops in Utah. The initials stand for, Great Salt Lake City Pure Gold.
