@ timothyhosbach, I agree on everything you say there. No need to harass somebody.
But there is one point that has bugged me since I joined Listia, and that is the members' indiscriminate use of the word "gold" and "silver" used in descriptions for items that are yellow metal or silver metal, but NOT real gold or silver. I have spent a lot of time clicking on listings with the description "gold" and "silver" only to find out that they're not. There are two things prevalent in this, one is ignorance of just what real gold and silver is, and the other is using those as buzz words to get people to bid. If ignorant, you can't blame sellers, although it'd be nice if they'd learn quickly, and if they do it knowingly, well, then they're falsely advertising and shouldn't even be allowed membership in Listia or any other auction sites. I seriously doubt Ashleigh38 is lying, and don't mean to offend her at all. She and many other sellers would do well to know that a silver item will have .925 stamped on it somewhere and a gold item will have either 10k, 12k, 14k, 18k, 22k or 24k stamped on it somewhere too. Anybody who makes an item, ring, earring, necklace, bauble, dangle or charm out of a precious metal for sure wants everybody who they would sell to to be aware that it is a precious, and therefore valuable metal. And so they mark it as such. :)
