Calendula is a wonderful, easy medicinal and ornamental flower to add to your garden. It produces abundant blossoms, which are encouraged to produce more blossoms when you pick them!

The more you pick the more blossoms you get :)

My favorite part is the full and plump seed-head that occurs throughout the season.

Calendula flowers are wonderful as both fresh and dried flowers and have incredible healing properties. The most popular herbal preparations of Calendula are simple olive oil infusions and tea made from the blossoms.

It has been used medicinally for centuries to heal wounds, burns and rashes, internally and externally. The flowers have also been used traditionally to support the immune system and lift the spirits.

Pull the petals and toss them into salads, over rice, omeletes, etc. garnish your dish with sunshine!
