I can only speak on behalf of tmobile, i have been with them for 10+ years and have damaged many and i mean many of my phones and i know 100% that the dot comes white and if it has been water damaged in any way it will turn red, taking the phone in the bathroom with you while you shower and condensation getting on it will eventually turn the dot red,, the phone is nice and i'm sure someone will be happy with it,, i'm just saying that red means water damage of some sort

I build cell phones for a cellular company and the squares you refer to are either white, red and white checked or blue and white checked. Its is the dye in the red/blue pin lines that bleed and turn the entire square either red or blue. The square is red and white checked indicating the lines have not bled.

It is red and white checked, not solid red as that is what happens when water damage is present. As I said b4 this phone has not had any water or other liquid exposure. If it had I would have stated in the deails.

Sony ericson, motorola MOTOQ, couple boost phones, and a few others, not quite sure of everthing. Even got a my touch 3g slide but no battery for that one. Never used.

It was never dropped in water or exposed to water or other wet substances in any way. So don't know why. Phone works great. Was checkin it out before I listed it to make sure it worked. Still worked when I put it up and still works now.

I've had my gravity for two years now, and obviously over time it does tend to degrade so try not to drop it a lot or do any damage to it; that kind of makes the wear and tear come quicker sooner than later.

It can function for both. I had it for tmobile flex pay. Pay as u go type of thing. But also could us it for contract.
