Description

The listing, U.S. Constitution Commmerorative DIAMOND Knife has ended.

Collectors , collectors, history, jewellery, knifes

1787 bicentennial 1987 u.s. constitution commemorative diamond knife
layered in pure 24 k gold.

declaration of independence in 1776, 11 years to write the us constitution, can any of you out there how long it would take today. i don't think it could happen.

very nice collector knife . the diamond does test positive with my tester. on one side of the blade is engraved we the people. on the same side of the knife is the diamond embedded in the eagle . i believe this is a commercial cut diamond a little over 1/8" round.. the blade of the knife does have a couple scratches on it. the remainder of the knife shows minimal wear and tear. it is apparent that dad didn't keep under lock and key for a collectors edition. i would rate the condition of the knife as very good. it opens and closes fine, is about 7 1/2" long when opened, & about 4 1/4" when closed. includes the original box. make a nice addition to one's collectable items of knifes, historic items, or scrap of the gold.
thank you for looking, have fun bidding, good luck to all. any questions please ask

nice knife
being new you might get a lot more point if you offered free shipping
seam like Listian want a trust factor before paying new sellers cash
its a lot easier to get refund of credits than cash
So many new people never mail
I have 2 knives like that now I won from new people over a week ago and never heard from and they will not respond to emails

either way its sweet

I have re read your comments, again, and again. Just because I'm new doesn't mean I owe you or anyone else a thing. Your thinking is stinking and shows that you have had problems with customers and maybe created some for your customers. If some wants something that sold for around 40.00 in 1987, and can't pay for the shipping cost, that isn't my problem. The shipping cost I will have proof of acceptance also so I am paying for some of the shipping. I am not one of those prople who never mail, I have sold close to 400 items on ebay and everyone has been mailed. I have only had one item that was damaged in shipping. For as many people that don't mail, my understanding is that there are twice as many that claim they never received. Now there's the real problem. The item gets mailed, the buyerr has the item and claims they don't the seller looses the points the buyer receives the points back and has the item. I'm sorry but the USPS for all of their shortcomings are pretty darn good at not loosing items. The seller has way more to loose than the buyer. Either way the nice is nice, has a real diamond on it, is gold layered not just plated, with a very reasonable shipping cost.

I'm not sure what your say sageani. but if you bid and won something with me after you make the shipping payment to my paypal acct. the knife will be in the mail. I don't play those games. I do pay half the shipping because I had a signature of acceptance just for the reason your talking about. It is a nice piece and the starting bid should be much higher but Listia wants to many points. So I'm taking all the risk in putting it out to bid. If it doesn't get in the 25,000 to 40,000 pt range I loose big time. why do I also want to ship for free. I don't Thanks for your interest however.

I have a very good feel for what things can be like in the Land of Listia. If the buyer can't afford the shipping cost, then they don't have enough points to bid,for what it should go for. I just had 8 auctions end all with winners. I still ended up paying about 1.50 on each ship. Now it's wait and see who's going to saw they didn't receive. I have shipped over 300 items with ebay, and not one single item never reached where it was going. If I pay for all shipping at the end of a year I might as well just go out and buy what I want. The time it takes to do listia is double what ebay takes.. Listing is quicker, but everything after is much more work. And people tell you what to do like it's their auction, and how to do it, and put nasty Signs next to your items. and even file complaints with lies to Listia, because they didn't win an auction.
Honestly I still don't know what you mean and think about me, I responded fast, I don't know what that means, Are you saying I'm making fake postings.? I'm not clear with what you are saying. I have bid on a single thing yet, But I have just finished packing 7 items, and purchase all the shipping labels and theywill all be in tomorrow's mail. I'm still waiting for payment on one thing and a zip code on another, I don't get it doesn't get shipped. I don't receive payment in another week it will be re-listed. Being the new guy on the block people like to play with. I have his mailing address, but no payment. 1 more sale and I can place a gin on items and a minimum for less points. and wait until I get the right price, My user name is the same on ebay you can check out all my feedback and 100% rating there. First explain to me what you mean, please..

Well now that I've read your LLLLong replies and comments, I've come to the conclusion that you're too too defensive. Someone makes one little suggestion and you go off the deep end. I've been buying, selling AND shipping knives for almost 2 decades pal. I have a good feel for sellers on ANY auction site and I get a real bad vibe from you. I'm blocking you. Please block me. I don't EVER want to accidentally bid on one of your auctions. Later Gater!!

Maybe so, but fighting off the people on this site who have some pretty interesting ways of scamming for points, keeps me plenty busy. besides giving stuff away. I have had to many other members tell me to not ship for free. And so far I have found this to be more than double the work than ebay, and I still have no idea what points mean in dollars. I think the time and risk of paying shipping and dealing with the % of people I have already come across who are not on the up & up has been alarming to me.

You should always ship free
It's the best way to get credits

Definitely a good suggestion to always use free shipping. You will get 100 times more credits on everything you list. Something large it would make sense to make the winner pay shipping but something small like this knife you sure only hurting yourself. Just an opinion take it however you like. Best of luck to you on listia. Very cool knife.

I am going to hold off and not ship anything for free unless I can put in an envelope for now. If I receive less points, that's the chance I take. I need to find out what a point is worth in ratio to the category, before paying someone to have something I own and have collected, regardless of how I got it. By paying or getting for nothing. I have learned there isn't anything you get have you got for nothing, not even education. I may have to learn the hard way. Thanks though.

Seems like a lot of people really like the knife and want it for free. And I pay. If it doesn't have a winner it will be listed on a different site. If I could have put a minimum on it I would have. Sorry but thanks, anyways. It seems like the items that really have some value not only do people have a huge interest but want it shipped for nothing also. I have been advised not to spend my money to give something to someone, and I believe that's good advice. Unless it's my family. Thanks though.

I see your real successful in getting bids
Apparently you do not want to get much.
Some people are HARD HEADED and do not listen to GOOD advice
Your new and need to have track record before you will get what you want for this if your charging shipping and being NEW.
I bet a cheap $5 frost knife with a good seller and free shipping will get more than you will for this nice knife
