There are two zippers for the large main pouch of this bag. However only one works. The bag closes just fine though. I bought this from a boutique, along with a messenger bag I just gave away on here. It was way to small for all my books and papers.

I bought it from a consignment boutique. VERY gently used. Only issue was the one zipper. Yes a one inch folder would fit. My computer, notebook, and folder fit. Then I decided to use my other backpack
