Okay let me start by saying that i was going to take a break from here (my husband says im obsessed! LOL) And then last night when i won a phone for him he starts naming off things he wants me to list to get my credits back up! =) (Men....right?!?! lol)

So here i am again! This necklace i honestly have no idea where it came from. Its a 14k gold chain that was made in Italy. It has no other marks except for the 14k and Italy on it. The clasp is broken. Its not even there so you may need a new chain or if you do jewelry work you could put one on or have one put on. The dangle looks like a pearl but im so not sure. On the back of the gold leaf looking things its also stamped 14k with nothing else on it. Its cute just not my style so hopefully someone on here likes it! I would say the chain is probably between 18 and 20 inches.

Okay i really dont know if this is real or not but i did the magnet test on it bc they say if its real gold then the magnet wont faze the gold at all. *****THE NECKLACE NOR THE DANGLE WERE ATTRACTED TO THE MAGNET AT ALL!!!!!!.***** I have read that some chains from italy are indeed fake but NOT all of them. I guess i got lucky getting this necklace bc i do not believe this is a fake. =) Thanks

I can understand waiting for 10 days on something that an auction user has to pay for shipping but you do NOT need 10 days to send your address on something that is FREE shipping. Im sorry but if it takes you that long to send me your information then that tells me that you are not serious about this auction at all. If you do not like terms then please do not bid. That is not true what blade said I own lots of peices of real gold that state italy on them that just means the gold was made in italy. You can google this if need be.

Okay thank you. I had been told that if its not real it usually has some kind of lettering behind to state whether it was plated or gold filled. This one has no other marks on it so i honestly dont know. I dont have the money to take it to get it tested and dont even know where to take it. =/ lol

Yeah it will usually say gp,gf ect but not always as some fake gold is coming from china and they are trying to pass it off as real stamping it 14K but it isn't. Most of the time though you can just tell by looking at it that it is not real. Try the magnet test and see if it sticks to it then it is definaletly not real also if you have a jeweler nearby they will look at it for free as I take all my gold in when i am uncertain to my jeweler and ask them if they can tell me if it is real or not now they do not test it for free but they will look at it and gtive you their opinion for free. Doing that would certainly get you the higher bids this deserves if it is real as it is a gorgeous peice and if the gold is real then I am sure the pearl is real as it wouldn't make since to put a fake pearl on real gold.

I did the magnet thing and it did not even try to attach to it. I will see what i can do about getting it to a jeweler before its up. Thanks for all the help =)

I'm just totally agreeing with everything carrieann said. .. and OF COURSE there is Italian gold's usually stamped Italy on it. I thought everybody knew that. Plus the photos are excellent and you can tell it's made really well. You can almost tell it's real just by the quality.

It is funny that someone said if it says Italy is fake more than half of gold jewelry circulating on the marked is made in Italy as well of a good portion ( not as much) of sterling, I am glad to see carrieann cleared that as long as there are not more lettering after karats it should be fine Congrats on the great auction!! So you are including chain but does not has a clasp right?

Yes i am including the chain. =D And i am also glad that some people that know something about jewelry took the time to comment and help me out. You would think that since im a female that i would know tons about it. But i dont. LOL jewelry is just not a big thing with me. The only thing i wear is my wedding ring. I sold a ring once and knew nothing about it, the person that got it told me it was worth quite a bit more than what i was asking for it but i had already set a price and i sold it for 150. Few days later they contacted me and told me they had sold it for 500 and some change. lol its my luck. =/

Italians are known for their gold craftsmanship, so having Italian gold is pretty much the best! I guess some people are ignorant...very pretty necklace and I fanned you! So please think about returning the favor...and btw, you are not the only one with a Listia obsession!! ;)

You can tell a real pearl by rubbing it against your teeth , if it smooth it is not real. A real pearl will feel like it is made of sand, which it is ! compare a real pearl with a fake to feel the differnce.
