not at all its brand name not generic I use them all the time it sealed in the pouch. ink doesn't go bad unless its open to air. If it doesn't work I will refund the credits.

HP has set it that their printers detect the expiration date of their ink and will not use them if they are past date. Silly, but I've experienced this first hand and while the ink is still good, the printer will insist it isn't.

I checked that out and its only true for some printers not all, if yours does it, I'm told that you can set your time back to before it expired and it will work.

True, that is why I said most since I'm sure there is probably a model that could use this cartridge that doesn't have that limitation. Unfortunately, the time thing worked on earlier models with the tech, but newer ones such as mine are not that forgiving.
