No I do not know what this is for or what you do with it. There is a website printed on it www.evga. Com. I do know it has something to do with either a Xbox or a ps-2. Since I know cables are usually hard to find and expensive when you do find them. I thought someone on listia might need one of these. Better than me throwing it out don't cha' think.

Was advised this was for a. Hard drive to hook it up to the motherboard. It was with a box full of gaming things for Playstation and Xbox. That's why I said it was for them. Should have kept my mouth shut and stuck with the I don't know statement

It's for a computer hard disk drive (HDD). It connects the disk drive to the motherboard. Still, very nice.

does it have the sata end on one end of it and the ide on the other or is it the ide on both ends

Sata on one end and Ide on other. Someone mentioned it's for inside the computer. Seems awfully big for inside but it's been a good many years since I messed with putting a computer together, I know they are alot different than what they used to be.
