Description
The listing, HP dv6500 Laptop (missing hard drive) has ended.
This is an HP Pavillion dv6500 laptop. It's in good condition and has a new screen and a new fan. This computer doesn't have a hard drive or a power cord! I have all of the papers (eg. instructions, etc.) that the laptop came with, if the winner would like them.
It does come with a battery. I know it works because I quit using it because the power cord broke and I was getting a new computer anyway. No problems with the hard drive or anything, I just wanted to keep it. I can guarantee that it will work :) Paperwork is no problem, but it never came with a disk.
You don't really need to buy windows if you win it. Use the serial number on the bottom at the hp website and order a recovery cd for like $15-25. It will install windows and all of the original software.
I know you say no power cord but does it come with a battery? And how do you know it will work if there is no power cord or hard drive in it? I don't mind filling in the pieces to have a good laptop but I need to know was this already working and then something happened to the hard drive? Can you guarantee this will work once a new hard drive and operating system is installed? I would definitely want all the paperwork and any disks that came with this when it was bought.
specs are here: http://www.laptopmax.com/HP/reviews/36/HP_Pavilion_DV6500_reviews.html
power cables can cost anywhere from $30-50 bucks and generally you can't interchange the cord or battery from one laptop to another unless its the exact same model because generally most laptops have different power wattages.
@kdoggbs69: I'm not sure what you mean by "specs" as there's no hard drive. @kwaazychick: It shouldn't be too expensive, a cord will run you about $25 and as for the hard drive, it depends on where you get it, but on a decent one on average would be about $50. @bigfoot3387: Yes, it works just fine, it just needs a hard drive and a power cord.
