Vintage Bull Horn
I am not sure what it was used for. Maybe Gun Powder as the small end could have had plug and the large end could have had a leather cover. Or maybe it is a horn that you blow.
You decide what you want to use it for
It has some nicks as shown in the photos

this is a blow horn, not a powder horn, the ends would be capped with a wooden plug, the smaller end would have either a plug or measure spout. I used to scrimshaw these for rendezvous and a sportsman shop. It is hard to find ones with enough cream or white on them for scrimshaw!!

they always used them as a horn when i was a kid,they would blow it when they were running dogs and the dogs would come back to the truck

This measures one foot across.
The large end measures 3 1/4" in diameter
The small end measures 1" diameter on the outside and the hole on the small end measures about 1/2".

Yes, it's a blow horn, or Hunters Horn, used as described above while running a hunt with hounds! Nice item! F&W!

I stand corrected, but the powder horn I have has scrimshaw on it. Just found out my husband is bidding against me.
