not sure what you mean this hard drive has xp on it ,if you have a windows 7 disk to upgrade it it should work, mine was a dell gx620 you can check with dell to see if its compatible but mainly you should be able to look at the ports in the picture and see if they match your computer, i have used the same hard drive in 3 different dells so most are
