If you get you address/tel verified that helps to get more bids, fanned and watching.
Paypal. is free and easy to set up at paypal.com. Its preferred to most Listians that send money for shipping . Its protects the buyers under buyer protection plan. If you get paypal set up, let us know; You will get good bids on this if you do. Its very simple to do.
Hi Lisa. Here is the link to verify everything you can that Listia offers you. It will help you on your bids. Once you get the hang of it, you will be addicted.lol http://www.listia.com/support/topic/verify
Here is where you set up Paypal. It is free and you set it up with your email address. www.paypal.com
Since I am new, not sure how to set up to accept Paypal. Just about all the arrowheads were found in Texas. Some were gifts send from relatives. I collect all sorts of stuff but have to downsize. Spring cleaning
Lisa, 'Hidden cash', 'Concealed Cash', etc., are nothing more than cash money sent through the mail to you, wrapped in paper or something so that it won't show through. It's untraceable, and has no protections attached, and it can't be proved or disproved that it has been sent, so that if you have a dispute with a winner and they claim to have sent s&h and you have never received it, there is no third party to verify the payment. There is nothing illegal or against the rules about using Concealed cash, but I and Listia recommend against it! We both heartily recommend that you sign up for a very simple and easy to start paypal account that you can use to make and accept s&h payments, send invoices requesting payment, and use for all your shipping needs, printing shipping labels at a discounted rate lower than even USPS online rates. It is FAR SUPERIOR to taking chances with cash in an envelope. And BTW, Tori, above, has given you excellent advice on getting verified! You will find you get FAR more and larger bids once verified...most of the unfulfilled auction winnings come about from UN-verified Listians, so people tend to not bid or bid small on such auctions. Welcome to Listia, and good luck with your auctions!
Thanks, crooked man. I was uneasy with the question if I accept "Hidden cash". This auction stuff is a learning experience for me and I appreciate all the help and guidance from everyone.
I thought I had set up a PayPal account correctly but was informed by PayPal I have to resubmit. I don't know why until I go through the process again. All this auctioning and setting up PayPayl has a huge learning experience. Will let you know when I get it all together.
As long as you have a valid email address to register under, you can set up a paypal account. You will got to your email account , whatever it may be, such as hotmail..yahoo...etc...and find the validation email from paypal, click on it , and validate and confirm your email addy is legit. Example. : My paypal addy is toriwatkins@hotmail.com. Then i punch in my password. I am in my paypal account. If someone needs to send me money i tell them send the money to my paypal addy. Payment is instant.
I'm talking about Listia verification , if you do that right now, before the end of the auction , you'll get more bids.Try looking under policies down below, bottom of any page (try clicking on policies. It might be there, But it is usually on your home page (where your auctions are listed , try clicking on your own profile pic, then go down on the left side below your photo, To "Verifications" then a list should come up it should say Verify tel number, verify Facebook acct, , ect , address / credit card /tel are the best(Facebook and other accts like that don't mean much because scammers can easily sign up with false info). Also just a suggestion , start with something small to auction. What you have here is very big to ship!! Try some postcards or recipes (send digitally) something easy! Lol! You've bitten off a bit mouthful with this one! I just hate to see you not get a good price for this just because you are not verified! Most people are pretty patient about the shipping(you have 7 days after the close of the auction to ship this out.Which gives you a little time to sort out the Paypal thing, but first and foremost get your address verified by Listia! (You don't have to , but I am sure you'll get waaay more for this if you do!!)
Also in Support , go to the bottom to Support Ticket , and send them a note , asking how to get your address verified , if you can't find it any other way. I know there is a link, but I don't know what it is.
www.listia.com/account/verify. Here is the link to get verified, Do it as soon as you can if you decide to do it!! You've only got 17hrs left!! It only takes a few minutes!! Good Luck!!
