I recommend soaking the seeds for two or three days to get them to germinate. They're used to rich, wet tropical soil. Soak them for two days to speed up germination than stick plant them about 1/4" deep in a good potting soil or even manure. They really do need a high nutrient soil for germination. After they've germinated you can get them used to your soil by slowly incorporating your soil into the potting mixture. They do take a bit of time to germinate. They need a ground temperature of about 60-65F. I grew one of the these indoors in Ireland. It was doing just fine until my cat discovered he was Tarzan King of the Jungle. Good auction.
