Does the tray open and close smoothly? The biggest problem with the original xbox was that the rubber band would wear out and the tray wouldn't open properly.

It has a slight stick to it and so won't always open the first time you try. But it opens all the way and closes completely.

Only way to tell is by pulling out the hard drive in the back and looking on the bottom...don't have to do this but I'm sure if it's 250gb you will get higher credits. :)

Did some searching and the only way that I can check out the hard drive is if I were to take it apart. Taking out screws and so forth. Not going to happen. And with other searching I have been told that the original Xboxes came as 10 gb. Sorry that's all I can do for you guys.
