The listing, Antique Emson Opera Glasses in Original Box has ended.
This is a beautiful old Emson Opera Glasses in the original box. The top of the box on one side is torn, At least it has the original box which is often missing from old items.
It is Burgundy in color with silver trim, a gorgeous combination. It opens by pushing in on the front latch where the top opens and the glasses are exposed as you will see in the photos. I tried them out and they work great. On the front it says Coated Lens Made in Japan.
This is a great item to own if you have never had one in your collection or even seen one.
Hello, Thank you for offering these! It is a very nice pair. Tanned and Watching! But, just a little info; these are from the 1950's, so not Antique, and are quiet popular, and easy to find in an array of colors!
You,re right but since an item is usually considered an antique when it is at least 75 years old , I was debating which category to list it in. Since it was at least 60 years old, I felt that this would be a good place to list it. If you look at all the items in the antique section, which I do daily probably 90 percent of them are not antique. If it is at least in the 50s, I usually list them there, since there is not a good category for very old vintage items. Thanks for you comment and open to suggestions on where I should list old items like this that are borderline antique. Thanks and good luck if you win!
Ahhh, I see what you mean. I wish there was a dedicated category just for trading cards, (not in the collectibles), it's very own category and same with recipes and coke rewards! They eat up a ton of room in the collectibles. Every time I go to collectible ending soonest, 3/4 of it are trading cards, and coke rewards!
You are totally right. They definitely need to expand some of their category's. I sell a lot of vintage jewelry and I have to list it Under jewelry. If they would create a sub category on jewelry for vintage jewelry, it would help the seller and people looking for it. I think I will write Listia and see if they will allow me to submit some changes to their category's for their review and hopefully get them to add more. You got me motivated to maybe make a good change to this site if the owners will let me submit it to them. If they do, I will definitely get some of your inputs too. Thanks!
Thank you Roger! I appreciate you! I think it might be a cost thing though. Meaning they may say if we make upgrades, the cost will have to reflect onto our customers, or something to that effect! I hope not.
