The listing, Steel Penny 3 Coin P/D/S Set has ended.

Up for auction are three steel pennies from 1943. Pennies seem to be uncirculated but I am not a coin grader so please take a look at the photos, those are the coins you will receive.

During world war 2 copper and nickel became a huge commodity. For only one year in 1943 the composition of the penny was changed to steel while copper was used for the war effort.

There is one penny each from the Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco mints.
