Is windows installed on the drives? My laptop HDD went up and i need a replacement, but i don't have a windows disk.

I don't know that much about it. One has Windows 7 basic and the other has Windows 7 home. Can't remember which is Which. The only way I can think of getting the program is to use the HD as an external and copy the Windows program. I've tried installing the HDs in other computers and they are not compatible. One is from an Acer and the other from an E-Machine.

I know they work in Acer computers ( the small ones with 10" screens). They would have to be reformatted to work in other computers.
