Description

The listing, 14k Gold For St. Patrick's Day has ended.

Up for auction on this glorious day known as St. Patrick's Day is REAL GOLD.

I received this men's wedding band in a large scrap bag of jewelry that my mom gave me when I was a kid and most of the other stuff was broken 10k chains or silver which I melted down a couple years ago before I knew about this site.

Some lucky listian is going to get a great deal on 5 (edit: 4.9grams) grams of 14k yellow gold (according to my scale). I will get it weighed at a pawn shop or local jeweler just to make sure because the scale I have I use for weighing out portions and am not sure if it rounds up or down.

This could be a great investment as well as saving someone from having to pay retail for a men's wedding band if they are getting married and want to help their son or daughter by winning this auction.

I have never listed gold on this site and have no idea where to begin so please give me feedback and all questions and comments are welcome. Shipping as always will be FREE!

I hope everyone has a safe and fun holiday (at least in my city it is) and thank you for looking at my auction. Thanks everyone!

UPDATE:

I went to a local jeweler who said that the ring is pure 14k gold (verified through a acid scratch test) and the lettering that is warn down was a makers mark (in his opinion) but because of its age he was unable to read clearly.

Weight: 4.9grams
Size: men's 11
Width: just under 1/4 inch was probably made to be 1/4 inch but on his measuring devise it was right at 1/4 but a hair short (his words)

All questions and comments are welcome but I will not lessen the days and all gin offers must be made through messaging. All listia rules apply and I'll only ship to verified addresses. Thank you for all your time and for bidding and watching!

you will get more bids if you start this with a much LOWER start bid
Gold does very well here but not if people have to pay shipping or start with a high bid
so lower your start bid to 10,000 and it should do good
Just trying to help out... hope I did
+1

The advantage is, people are more likely to start the bidding. I'll bet the gift cards did't start out with a high starting bid. It's part of the game to see the bids go up. People will get caught up in the bidding. I once paid 40,000 for a bracelet that was worth no more than 10,000 because I was determined to win it. If the starting bid had been 40,000, there is no way I would have even placed a bid! All this said to tell you you have to do what works for you!

You make a good point so down to 75 it goes hopefully people will bid now lol. I understand what you mean by getting determined to win. Hopefully people see that I'm putting up a quality ring for credits and bid rather than just taking the money from a scrapper as gold always has value
