I am a Constant Gardener and have many types of Organic flower and veggie seeds and perennial seeds...all from Zone 4. All the pictures are from one of My garden beds ;)

I love making Birdhouses out of these (plus I've made from pumpkins as well - , you can paint, some I decoupage ideas are endless on these ;) Retrieving these seed a little more difficult to get the seeds out of Small hole. I really enjoy make bird houses out of them, so to me, it's worth it. All the blue painted ones, my honey just did up for me, I'm not artistic with paint at all.

and YES birds Do make their nests in them. I wrapped one with Orange Macrame jute, the birds loved to use that one. I always drive a few holes in bottom for some circulation. Last picture is what a birdhouse gourd looks like - Undone

This listing is for my 2013 Birdhouse SEEDS. I am offering 10 Birdhouse Seeds (typically More, but always write 10 to be on safe side).

Wish I saved the seeds of the gourd that was shaped like a bell pepper....I decoupaged that one with all pepper seed pictures. THe other birdhouse gourds I added a lot of florals and/or bird pictures ;)
My honey made the Wood Bowl feeder with a branch in center...Coats every year so they last longer.

That's a good idea ;) I think I have them listed under another website where I make and sell my handmade goods (hats/scarves/cozies). 20 to 60 percent of my sales go for making for the homeless and childroom going through chemo and such.

I could not tell you for sure which birds....but I think it depends on the size of hole and if Cardinals go into birdhouse still gourds or not. I would google the gardenweb for that advice.

Will you include a growing plan with how much water and sunlight and maybe any heads up and bugs that might destroy the gourd...my thumb isnt really green but I'm working on it....ty

Actually, it would be best to google your Zone. But these are REALLY easy to grow (like sunflowers), just keep them Watered and in Sun. I always protect all my seedling sprouts with a collar around them (made from cut tp rolls, clear plastic water/tea bottles, etc). Other than that, there is nothing to growing these ;)
