The 1st edition - 1st print of The Stand was published in 1978 by double day so if this copy was released in 1990 it would not be a first edition.

Have you ever read this book, itzazoo? It is one of my favorite movies...but Stephen King books are amazing, except a few of them are too hard/confusing to read- Dreamcatcher, for example. If you have read it, a) was it good? and b) was it a hard read?

Hi! First of all, I totally agree with you about Dreamcatcher. I just couldn't get through it. I've read The Stand twice...once before I saw the movie and once after. Although I loved the book before I saw the movie, the second time I read it was easier because of the movie, if you know what I mean. Either way, it's a wonderful book and one of his best!
