I really don't know that much about wool. I got this and thought I would make a rug but it's not thick enough. More like sweater yarn. I shows hand wash on the label. Just looked sorry.

Thank you. That's what I wanted to know..."Hand wash only" usually means it will felt. I am interested in wool yarn that will felt.

I just accidentally felted 4 lengths of knitted "scarves" I got at Goodwill. Anyone interested in felted yarn? LOL!! I killed it for my purposes. I really thought it was acrylic, it was so very soft. Should have washed just one but... LOL!
