I'm sorry, but the only description was the weight which "included gemstone and silver" so the dealer referred to it as a "gemstone" but I do not know what it is except the color is light blue
Ok here we go. Have 2 options- 1 would be a dyed agate which is called Berliner blue. It is dyed in a solution of yellow potassium ferro-cyanide, then boiled in hydrous iron sulfate, in turn gives the grey-blue color of the cameo..this is my first guess as you said it was old. My second guess depending again on it's age would be Chalcedony- which in ancient times was used exclusively for cameos...hope that helps a little....I'm bidding on this too! It has peaked my interest....Peace -KIM-
Well it is very pretty and I so appreciate all that research. The only thing is that this is a new ring (not old). Could be it is still correct information though. Listia is turning out to be quite an educational experience for me. Thank you ;D
I really wanted s chance at this, it's soo intetesting! Love interesting this!!! The silver setting is a bonus!!!! I think I may have to buy some credits!!!!! We'll see......bahaha! PEACE -KIM-
I try not to do that but sometimes I do and it is easy to get a refund if you end up losing. Listia is great about refunding credits if the auction goes to another bidder if you don't use them on something else ;D
