The ugli or ugli fruit is a Jamaican form of tangelo, a citrus fruit created by hybridizing a grapefruit, an orange and a tangerine. UGLI is a registered trademark of Cabel Hall Citrus Limited, under which it markets the fruit.

I have paid up to $3.50 a fruit. I love them. They are sweet like an orange but also bitter like a grape fruit depending on how "ugli" you let them get. Usually when you buy them they are the color of an orange. That is when they are bitter but if you let them turn like a brown and they look rotten they are very sweet. I would love to know if they would grow in michigan.

Does this grow in WI? If it does it should grow here in Arkansas. What do they taste like? The look like a green grapefruit.
