Description

The listing, Very Old Scarab Necklace has ended.

This is very old . The scarabs are ceramic with a green glaze . I'm pretty sure the metal is silver , it's tarnished to black over the years .
Each scarab sits in a decorated silver casing except for the smaller one in the back , it has a silver ring around it .
There's a stamp on the silver backs , have no idea what it is .
I got this from an estate sell about 20 years ago , I was told at that time it was sold as a souvenir in Egypt in the 1920s and 30s .

@Timothy, it probably wasn't intentional, I think she may be trying to appease all of the stuff she's getting thrown at her about badges, & verification. I realize everyone is just trying to help. The trusted seller badge will come with time, as the wings will come with time, sales, & positive feedback also. Good luck here, beautiful piece!

Theresa, I know you are brand new to Listia, so I'm going to offer some advice, if you don't mind. If you look below your name in the upper right hand corner of the auction page, you will notice six (6) circles, one (1) of which is filled in with 'fb' standing for facebook. These are called your VERIFICATION'S. The more of them that you have filled in, the greater the degree of reassurance and trust that will be extended to you and your auctions. FOR INSTANCE: With one Vrification, your Auction for the Scarab Necklace seems a good auction with a nice treasure to be won, so you would expect there to be a considerable flurry of bidders flocking about to vie for the necklace. is, you have less interest than you might simply because people don't know whether they can trust you to follow through. Each Verification that you complete will make people that much more trusting of your intention to stick around and honor your commitments. To complete your VERIFICATION'S, click on your picture, that will take you to your profile page (you can also get there from the drop down menu below your name). Once you are there, look beneath your large picture, and you'll see the same 6 circles...click on them, one by one, and you will be informed what to do to accomplish each VERIFICATION.

To verify your shipping address (your listia verified shipping address must be sent to the owner of each auction that you win, or he/she will not ship your winnings) you must go to www.listia.com/account/addresses . here you will find a form to fill out to save your shipping address to listia. simply fill in all the pertinent information, click 'validate', and if the address is correct, the page will validate it and give you a chance to confirm it and save it.

once it's been saved here, every time you win an auction, your address will show up on the auction link so that you can send it to the auction owner.

when you win an auction, this must be done every time!!!:
1. return to the page where you won the auction.
2. scroll to the top of the page and you will find orange writing saying "what next?"
3. click on "send address", and one or more saved addresses will appear for you to choose from
4. place a tick in the radio button by the correct shipping address.
5. click on 'send address'
6. your address will be sent to the auction owner.
7. the auction owner will send your item, then return to the same page, and place his notice that he sent the item, and the tracking # and carrier for your information.
8. after you receive your item, you must return to the auction page where you won, and say you received the item (releases payment to auction owner), and to give a feedback rating.

hope all the info helps.
namaste, and blessed be,
victor

I wasn't trying to be rude to anyone , I thanked him for his info and advice . How was I rude ? The only way I'm going to get things like sellers badges and a good reputation is by proving I'm trustworthy . That takes a little time .

Thank you so very much! True people do like to see it with its age. I being from the jewelry industry at BC Clark's well I am one wanting to see it in all it's glory is all. It gets in your blood so to speak. I would never call anyone an awful name no way! I just speak my mind about what I thought I was reading and unfortunately I get people's comments jumbled up inside this doped up brain and then I screw up as I did with you. I so appreciate the fact that you allowed me to fan you and that you understand what I was doing but doing it badly! And I do apologize so very much to you. You need to tell whoever calls you ignorant or rude that only an ignorant or rude not to mention childish person would say that to another human being!~ok! Remember that. Thanks for fanning me I am working on some jewelry to auction off in a week or so am waiting on a delivery of findings to finish up when I do come look maybe you might see something you want. I am also considering auctioning off some of my hummingbird collections to make room for some more collections of milk glass which I adore LoL! My husband may not let me tho because I paid a whole lot of money for the birds...most came from BC Clark's LoL! Well I shall let you be now. Have a blessed week and thank you so much for wishing my health better...I do too..."my friend" and thank you again!
Happy Days :)

You will earn the sellers wings and the trusted sellers badge under your name with time as you have completed auctions. I must have misread what was said...I have bad eyesite and I will admit it that I make mistakes and saying that all I can say now is that I apologize to you. You do have a piece that should go very high! You live where I came from Oklahoma City...did you think about taking it to one of the BC Clark's Stores to have it cleaned and see the true beauty of it for the bidders! I worked for them in their repair department and cleaning for free was how it worked when I worked for them...now I do not know as I had to move back to this frozen tundra now but was there for many years. Anyway again I do apologize and I am sure you will earn the wings with a few more sales. It really does not take long. When I was typing I did not see you had the other badges done so it is my fault and I hope you can forgive me. I became badly disabled the last year I was in OKC and am on 14 meds from it and 3 are narcotics so you see I can easily mistake a comment or conversation. But I am woman enough to admit I was wrong. If it is ok with you may I fan you to see what other beauties you bring here? Have a blessed day!
Happy Days :)

No problem . Of course you can fan me , I'll fan you back .
I was just confused about why people seemed mad at me after I thanked the man and took his advice . I have been called ignorant and rude , (not by you of course )but I still don't understand what I did wrong .
Putting this necklace up was almost an after thought so I didn't think about having it cleaned first . Besides some people prefer to see the age of an item . lol
I wish you better health , my friend .

Would it help if I said I'd never screw over anyone . I want to keep my 100% positive rating , which means keeping my buyers happy .
