Frank Beardsley a widower of 8 kids runs into high school sweetheart, Helen North it’s as if 30 yrs never passed! Helen, also a widow w/10 kids that include 6 she & husband adopted, feels the attraction also. It’s no wonder they rush into marriage without telling kids. True love can conquer all? Unfortunately for Frank & Helen, families don’t mesh quite as easily as they had hoped. They should have seen the culture clash coming: the disciplined Beardsleys run things by book; energetic & vivacious Norths, there's no book. Helen’s kids aren’t pleased about moving & sharing rooms w/bunch of uptight strangers. Frank’s children have nothing in common w/Norths. Both sets aren’t happy, they devise a plan to undermine marriage, team up to plot breakup. East meets west as the 2 families find a way to work together-in order to separate. When it appears that the kids have succeeded, realize they like each other despite their differences and don’t want the families split up! Can they save the marriage? Up to Frank & Helen!
