Some of the info on the watch are (CONSUL FOND ACER INOXYDABLE) This watch does NOT take batteries IT IS A TIME PIECE !!! I Believe it to be GOLD PLATED AND VERY EXPENSIVE ! However this DOES NOT currently work and will have to be taken to Jeweler to be fixed. I have not checked to see if this can be fixed or not! Either way GREAT ITEM and if you can not fix it you can replace the guts or just take them out all together and put a pic in there . There are lots of options !!!!

also just because something can not be fixed does not lessen the value of it all the time! some times the things that can not be fixed are worth more because of there uniqueness or antiquity value and so many other reasons hence the shipping fee for insurance purposes
