The listing, VINTAGE GUN TIP? OR MUSIC PIECE? MILITARY ARTIFACT? has ended.
This piece was found along side the Connecticut river while searching for goodies...I'm not sure what it is which makes it hard to describe. It is about an inch and a half in length and seems to be made out of lead or brass. It has a ring at the end of the half inch opening. I've matched it with a musket ball to see if one would fit through the piece. It also has a crest marking on each side of the tip. The crest looks like the new Orleans saints symbol or a what I've been told as a " Florida Lee" mark. Doing some research on the history of my area it could be a part connected to Paul revers ride. I've had many antique appraisers look at it and all I've been told is that it is from the mid to late 1700s and is a piece of either a musket gun or flute. Happy bidding and good luck on winning this piece of history. Please ask any questions you want and I will do my best to help with the description of the artifact...
