Hi, nice auction. Just wanted to let you know since you are new to this. You can order flat rate boxes from usps.com for free. A small flat rate box with tracking and $50 insurance cost 5.80 to ship. And your camera would fit in it just fine. Bubble wrap it n write glass on it. They take extra care of packages marked glass for some reason. Lol I have a friend at the post office and she told me all this. If it should get broke or damaged you can file a claim but you would have to have the broken camera as proof. I am just figuring all this out myself, even though I been doing for awhile. It can get complicated easy. If you need anymore help please feel free to ask. We all are here to help and make it easier for the new ones. Thanks for your time and I will be watching. Fan as soon as I can. Have a great day.
Free shipping = lots more bids btw lol I just recently got my seller wings! Make sure to work on your badges! If youre not all verified and have like the meaningless badges some people will just block u right away its nuts on here sometimes lol if u need any help read the rules sure wish I did in the begining!! And if u have any questions u can msg me if u want! F&W !
It could cost alot less maybe even like 1.50 for a medium envelope if u don't have one already or buy some at a random store than it'll be 1,05 for tracking u should ALWAYS USE FOR EVERYONE'S SAFETY AND SO U DONT GET SCAMMED cause that's the only way to prove its been shipped when ppl start disputing dumb stuff lol If you use a hard padded envelope with media mail so it doesn't get damaged it shouldn't be much at all! Sorry for babbling I should be asleep! Lol
FedEx is expensive you need to use USPS.com or the USPS mobile app or just put 5.99 for USA shipping and add "Canada and everywhere else; exact" that way u get more ppl n don't need to answer so many questions about prices cause its always no more than 6 bux for most places in the states. I make all shipping 5.50 at the most if its not flat rate and if its heavy small priority flat rate box its still only 5.99 but printing labels is the cheapest way to ship! You can always search on google n find out all about it...if u have Facebook u can add me @ Melinda Janiszewski aka oatmealislove If u need any help u can msg me there or here but ill get it faster on Facebook
Also u can google the camera n find its exact weight cause its probably only a few ounces and I'd use a thick padded envelope or a flat rate box for this item the person at post office can always just tell u the best way n cheapest way to ship whatever u ship with tracking! And make sure when people send money on Paypal to either get there email n request the $ which is usually alot easier but if they send it they need to make sure to mark it as "services & goods" not friends ! Or it is not covered under ANY protection. And never ship before its sent I did that a few times cause I thought they had paid but they keep saying they will n than they don't thinking you'll forget n its easy to forget if u post alot at once lol so Ill only do like 7 auctions at once and if you wait till you get your wings so u can do 21 day auctions to sell anything expensive you make like triple I would for 7 days its def worth it once u get there! Anyways!! I'm finally gonna try to sleep :) good luck! Aslong as you keep communicating alot and don't act like a robot people will feel better about bidding!
The only thing I can think is either it is taking a day or two, or because you didn't do the phone number also. All they do is call you and give you a code to put in and then they never call you again. Once you put the code in you are phone verified, that helps, but I think it might take a day. Also please message me also if you need help with shipping. I disagree with the person who said to use online to send. I go to the post office and have learned all the ins and outs of shipping light to heavy and cheap to expensive. For this camera, I agree with the person who said the small priority box for United States Post Office. It comes with tracking ( you don't have to pay the 90 cents ) and also with $50 insurance ( but you need a receipt for the item and all the receipts from mailing it, I believe. They need to know how to value the item....I didn't realize that before so I may be wrong, but if I send something I own that I have no proof of cost, I don't get benefit of insurance??) also you can put up to 75lbs in it. That is your best bet for a camera. Make sure to use bubble wrap to protect it well and I take proof of that too sometimes...lol. you can never be too careful. if you wrap it in brown paper , but definitely get tracking as the comment above said, you may save like $2. Hope this helps. Message me anytime. Blessings, Djemila and Welcome to Listia!
Thank you, I have a post office right around the corner so shipping should will be easy. I will however take note to take pictures as it goes into the box just in case of damage in transit. All should go smooth with all the help offered!
