Sorry I just got back on..The discs are a thin plastic..I wouldnt doubt the the silver beads are as well..so its a bit delicate

I live in the mountains on a ranch and very seldom go anywhere to wear pretty jewelry... and I have 2 grown boys... no daughters... so I'll have to pass... But it is really pretty... Good luck tho.. :)
