Minors Are Prohibited To Purchase This Knife!!

This is an "AUTHENTIC LARGE BONE HANDLED VINTAGE COKE BOTTLE KNIFE" (and not a plastic look alike). I purchased this at an estate sale. It looks almost new except for some tiny chips & marks that don't show very much at all unless you look close. The blades are made of 440 Stainless Steel so THIS KNIFE WILL ALWAYS PERFORM WELL!" Both Blades do not have the common shiny mirror type surface because they have been Customized with a Brushed Satin Finish. It has the Real High Buff Polish ~ Heavy NICKEL SILVER Bolsters and Brass Pins. This is a "Hand Made" - American Cutlery Knife!" It is a Beautiful Knife that is Very Solid and it comes in its original box with its paperwork!

The size is (7 & 7/8" Open) and (4 & 3/8" Closed).
The Main Pin Blade measures (3 & 7/16" Long).
The Spey Blade is (3 & 3/8" Long).

GREAT CRAFTSMANSHIP!!!

This Knife is Very Sturdy! Both blades open and close with a snap and have the half stops. Everything works just the way it is supposed to. The Knife is a little brighter than the photos, as the pictures were taken indoors.

Carbon steel I made one its hard work have to use a diamond grinding wheel to shape the blade. Very time intensive but worth it.
Apr 3rd, 2014 at 7:40:50 PM PDT by

Your right & those real hard carbon steel blades also take quite a bit more work to sharpen.

This is a Great Knife.

These are much more valuable if you have their original paperwork & the box they come in.

It is a good knife to hold onto because its Value will Continue to Increase and a pair might have additional value to some people.

If you don't want to wait for there value to increase, they will probably do pretty good if you post them.

Its kinda a toss up depending on if you want to keep them or not. ☺

So true.
My friend has a Benchmade McHenry & Williams Pocket Knife with a M4 steel blade and he said it is a great knife but just horrible to sharpen.

It is cool my friends dad makes knives handles are Elk horn blades are made from old 1940s and 1950s metal files.
Apr 3rd, 2014 at 7:28:08 PM PDT by
Original
That is really cool. I've also heard of knife makers that make some knives out of rail road spikes and even horse shoes which is pretty hard steel, too.
Apr 3rd, 2014 at 7:37:17 PM PDT by
Original
I hope people bid high on this knife its a good one I own 2 and love both. I had one handle redone with ELK horn.
Apr 3rd, 2014 at 6:59:57 PM PDT by

I bet the one you have with the elk handle is really beautiful.

Yes 2 1940s Rope knives and 2 1960s electrician knives as well all for 20 bucks I was really happy :)
Apr 3rd, 2014 at 6:57:10 PM PDT by
Original
What a steel! Your knives might be worth quite a bit. I have seen a Case xx 1940s Electrician's Knife go for over $150 and a Vintage New York Hammer Brand Coke Bottle Knife that sold for over $350.

I collect knives so I will be watching this closely and hopefully I will win. Does the stand come with it?
Apr 3rd, 2014 at 11:07:24 AM PDT by
Original
Thank you so much.
This knife is a beauty.
Unfortunately the stand is not included, as I only have this one + 1 smaller one that I use solely for taking the pictures of knives that I list.
If I gave the stand away, it would significantly reduce the quality of the photos of future knife listings for everyone to view.
I am fairly new to Listia and should have mentioned in this ad that the knife stand is not included.
Thank you very much for bringing this up, because now I will know to put that in my future ads.
