I would say possibly as the book does teach tatting stitches. of course as with any thing you try to learn it depends on how you process the information taught. I would think that if you crochet and/or knit you could learn from this book.

If it is easier for you to learn visually then go to you tube there are lots of people showing how to tat. Then use this for patterns

I started out with needle tatting til my brain got around how to do the knots with the shuttle. I prefer the shuttle the knots look amazing. But the needle is alot easier to figure out. Person feelings
