Not sure of the name or variety of basil. I received just a few seeds from a friend who said it was basil and have been growing in my flower beds for over 5 years as ornamental plants. I am selling as ornamental and not edible since I do not know the type/name of basil.

I have easily grown these from seeds and have transplanted several plants. I keep them full and short by pinching off the top of stem as they grow.


I love the dark burgundy leaves and how they look against my other flowers and shrubs. The leaves are frilly and some are shiny which adds a lot of interest. When you touch the leaves you can smell the basil fragrance.
