Made By Ideal in 1972
This is a great opportunity to own this stunning vintage doll.

Condition:
The doll is in overall great condition for being 40+ years old!
She has NO discoloration and sits very well.
She has adorable pin curls!
There are no odors or serious damage to the doll, and she is clean.
There are typical signs of wear for age.
Her clothing is not in as great condition.
It has several small stains pictured.
I am also pretty sure than the clothing is not original.
There are no socks and shoes, just the dress and bloomers.

The beloved starlet Shirley Temple passed away on February 10, 2014, and now Shirley Temple dolls are becoming more and more valuable.
I had this item listed on eBay for $45, but there are now some items I would like on Listia, so I have ended my eBay listing early and posted her here for quick sale.

The back of her neck says:

Her Back has the Ideal Doll Company logo as well as the marking 2m-5634 1
***The ST in the serial number on the back of her neck is for Shirley Temple, and toys that she have the "Hong Kong" imprint were created sometime during the years 1948-1975.

Luckily, I have been selling dolls for years and I am a very serious collector!
You'll be glad to know that she is definitely -not- a reproduction. :D
I have added a photo of her back markings as proof... you should be able to see it now as the last photo.

The back of her neck says:

I just sold one for over $140 that was much larger. I repair and restore dolls for a living, so I pick up Shirley dolls whenever I see them, but at the moment, this is the only one that I have. Thank you I will check it out. My Step Mom had a lot of Shirley Dolls and one was 3' tall and was a walking Doll . I had always wanted that one she had had it for 40 yrs If I had asked her for it she would have given it to me . But I didn't want to ask. I was there last Sept. and it was gone I asked were she was she said she gave it away :( She said to why did you want her ? I said yes if were getting rid of her . She told me I should have asked her for it.

Deffinately an original 1972 doll.I have several.It is not the original dress but this dress is very cute.The original dress is red with white polka dots.Watching and bidding.Great auction!

Yes, you're right, the outfit she comes with is either handmade or came from another doll. I'm sure the owner chose it because it was at least close to the original colors she should be wearing :)
