If I can figure out shipping prices I can do some auctions myself and build up credits. I just can't afford to do free shipping on big books. I'll get it pinned down though. :)

You have books to list, but can't afford s&h? send them Media Mail, and charge a $4 flat rate to the winner. Don't listen to them when they start wheedling you...the same folks that struggle the hardest to avoid paying s&h are the very worst at overcharging for s&h on their own auctions! I almost always charge s&h for my auctions...couldn't afford to send the stuff otherwise. I don't charge for the keychain toolkits because they are small and don't cost TOO MUCH, but most I do.

They're heavy books. Mostly hardback or multiple novels in one. Or a complete series. I'll look into media mail though. It isn't that I mind giving free but I don't like the idea of paying for someone to take it lol

Exactly. anywhere on the web that they order those books, they will be charged s&h, in some cases much more than they are charged for the books themselves. as much as people b--- about s&h here on listia, they all know that that is the universal charge anywhere they go to get whatever they go to get! if it comes from the net, it costs s&h, so you aren't charging them anything they wouldn't be paying anywhere else, and you are not charging them for the books themselves, so that puts them way ahead with you...they need to get some sense! as i said these same folks are busy charging s&h on their own auctions...
blessed be, hon, i know it's a hard decision, but in the end it comes down to do i want to continue to do this. if i do, then i have to charge for shipping, 'cause if i don't, i can't afford to ship folks their winnings! makes it pretty simple, lol!
