I am so sorry to bother you, but what is the diff between mp3 and mp4? Is it that mp4 indicates video? Also, what kind of music is already on it, and how much does 4gigs hold? 1000? Thanks so much!!!

_An mp3 is a one which can only play music but a mp4 can not only play music but can store videos and images .
-a 4gb should hold between 700-1000 songs depending on the length of the songs

This device has been deleted of all songs.. the music sounds fine.. This is not an ipod and If your looking for ipod quaility this might not be the mp4 for you.. This was purchased for a kid.. not an adult.. and remember its FREE :) thanks I hope this helps

Ok.. sorry it took me so long to respond, I will be honest I have never had an ipod, so I dont have alot to compare it to. I just got a Sandisk sansa fuse and it sounds the same.. I do know that headphones can also make a huge difference in sound qualilty.. I am hearing impaired so I am not a good person to ask.. I can run it over to my neighbor who has an Ipod and I can get her opinion of the sound quality.. I will do that right now. while there is still and hr left... I have not figured out how to delete the music that is on it.. but more than likely you will be able to do it easily.. I hope I answered your questions..

Ok.. my mom just got back from the neighbors. and the device has been deleted of all songs. and it sounds fine.. This is no ipod though.. its lighter and if your wanting an ipod then this device might not be for you.
