This is such a cool pin! If you love the crescent moon, coyotes, or if you just love to howl at the moon you'll love this vintage 1988 JJ brooch. It shows a howling coyote inside a crescent moon with a dangling star. The surface is etched in a southwestern motif with faux turquoise stones.
Measures 2" x 3 1/4" High. Signed JJ 1988 on the back.

J.J. was the registered trademark of Jonette Jewelry Co. of East Providence, R.I. The company was founded about 1935 by Abraham Lisker as Providence Jewelry Co. and later changed names to Lisker & Lisker Inc. when Abraham's brother Nathan joined the company. The firm discontinued operations during WWII. After the war, Lisker restarted the company renaming the firm Jonette Jewelry Co. J.J. jewelry consisted primarily of figural and novelty pins. J.J. jewelry was marked J.J. with a copyright symbol preceding the initials. After 69 years Jonette Jewelry Co. ended production in September 2006.
