Description

The listing, Antique German Stork/Bird Sewing Scissors has ended.

Up for auction is an Antique Victorian Germany Heron Stork Bird Sewing Scissors. This is a really cool scissors. On the inside it says western something Germany, but I cannot read the middle word. There is some tarnish on the scissors, but overall not bad. I tested them on some paper and they cut great! This is a very cool antique item.

Just because they still make them does not mean these are not antique and most of the time antiques are better quality than new items.

I own the same pair except mine were handed down to me from my great grandmother. I know for a fact that they were purchased in the 1920's and were not bought at some craft store. They are for cutting thread. Although you can buy this style at craft stores (I just looked too) that doesn't mean you people have to discredit a complete stranger....

You can buy these at fabric stores, eBay, Amazon, etc. They are not antique! I own 4 pair! I had 2 and got my moms when she passed away. We bought them together!

Jychauncy, you are 100% right! And they say, West Germany! And, they don't tarnish! But they do rust when they've been in water!
