You are right about helping those who need help....... I have been n both sides of the street which has made me a stronger person, I do not judge...that is not for me to do....nor do I look the other way........I can say "things will get better" BUT I believe they are ALREADY better - I could thing of a lot of worse things....there is ALWAYS someone that has it WORSE than me!!!!

next time you walk by a homeless man sitting on the side of the street........don't automatically think....he is a drunk or an addict or he lost everything and his own fault....or the big one I hear...... "get a job!"......YOU don't know his story... 2 years ago he lived in a $800,000 house with 5 cars in the driveway, he barely drank unless it was socially, he never touched a drug BUT...HE LOST EVERYTHING....His job..wife...house..cars...kids....and NONE of it was HIS fault!!! There are always 2 sides 2 every story, ya never know ....a year from now YOU could be sleeping next to him and you might even be sharing his bottle of whiskey!!! NO 2 PEOPLE WEAR THE SAME SHOES!!!!

Beryllium treatment is the addition of beryl during the heat treatment of gems causing the beryl to sink deep into the gem. The beryllium, at one time called beryllium diffused caused controversy because the older diffusion treatment is a surface treatment. Beryllium treatment is now widely accepted in the trade as a legitimate treatment, because stones which have been treated this way can be recut.
Pink tourmalines can be irradiated to darken them into red ones, which are indistinguishable from the natural red ones.
Without irradiation treatment to topaz there would be almost no blue topaz. The standard treatment is irradiation followed by heat treatment. The U.S. has the Nuclear Regulatory Agency to protect people. Radiation levels of gemstones have to below a certain reading before they can be sold. If you buy in other countries you do not have that protection. Everyone should buy what they like, even if you are not a GG.

Strange that the treatment used in some tourmalines to enhance clarity and color is heat treatment, yet they say don't steam clean. I guess when they heat treat them it is controlled and not a sudden temperature change. They sometimes use radiation too.
Apr 17th, 2014 at 11:35:05 AM PDT by

irradiated,i do not buy, heat is accepted as a permanent, but not berrilium (not permanent). i am not a certified gemologist, i simply buy what i like but have a diamond tester, the filters, the acids and optics to check them. If its been treated at all, I disclose it, if I do not know I say unknown treatment

Elbiate tourmaline is most important because most gem quality tourmaline are Elbiate which has the widest range of gem quality colors. Named for the Island of Elba in Italy. When cleaning tourmaline use warm soapy water and a soft brush. Do not use steam cleaning because extreme temperature changes can damage it. Do not use an ultrasonic cleaner. My wife collects gemstones and has a wide range of tourmalines. Tourmaline is our national gemstone by the way. Paraiba (copper bearing) Tourmaline are found in Brazil, Nigeria and Mozambique. They have a glow about them and are cool water blue or a light blue green. Where did your report come from?

knowing how RARE this gem really is,it not money, which would pay my bills and feed my wife and I, yet because I am on limited income and ask for shipping costs to be covered. This stone comes Paraiba,Bahitia,Brazil, tourmaline copper-magnesium bearing sells at $6,-10,000 per carat.you would think thiis stone would be around 30,-50, monopoly bids

Natural Tourmaline, regardless of classification is mostly a Type III Gemstone, therefore they will have inclusions, flawless ones will fetch $1000's per carat and are one of the rarest stones on this Planet. They are NOT Dings or Cracks, but the a natural feature of the Gem.

You can ship on USPS.com or through paypal FOR FREE -- you do not need an account!! AND then you get the discounts for printing and packing at home.........BUT to comment on seft1..the Post Office supplies are NOT all free ..they only give you FREE Boxes & Envelopes if they are Flat Rate or Region Boxes......otherwise they charge you too!!! ....I HAVE found A LOT that they Region boxes are MUCH cheaper...For Example: I was going to ship out a 6 pound package to Florida From PA - I was going to ship it in a LARGE Flat Rate box...BUT... It was less than HALF to ship it in a REGION B box!! AND the Region B box is the SAME SIZE as the LARGE flat rate box!!!!! MY cost was just over $5.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Credits have worked out good for me, because I have been able to trade for things worth thousands of dollars for credits worth $25. Do you know how to do drop shipping auctions, (not sure if I am using correct terminology),where you buy on Amazon, then list on Ebay and make money on what you got from Amazon then ship to the third party? Of course you do have to have a few dollars start up money. Just throwing something out there that a friend has been doing and has been working it successfully thus far.

i steal stuff for these credits, money included United States dollars for monoply money. I never drop shipped but its an idea worth investigating, shouldn't cost more then a few hundred to get started in, word to the wise Stay away from China

I was just trying to help you with your shipping issues. So I guess I'm not understanding your description about the Post office, and why it's going broke. as you shipping cost for these very small, ( not speaking about the Quality) just the size is way to high, as you can get all supplies free at the post office, there is now a serve yourself stations in the post office. Not at all trying to be rude, an sorry about your health issues. I am disabled as well, so free, free and free woks really well a padded 6x4 package cost me only 1.93 with tracking,2.30 total with insurance. Hope this helps, and Thank you for a great auction!!
