Vintage Silver Canister
Two sets of Hallmarks on the bottom
Stands 4 3/4" high
Bottom oval measures almost 3 1/2 x a little over 2 1/2
I am not sure if the top is pushed down or if is suppose to be that way, please see photos

Pink in photos are reflections

This has beautiful patina and is only rubbed on the man and lady sitting in the second photo, where you can see if it was cleaned, (which I do not recommended) it is a very shiny silver.
I could not find the hallmarks when i researched this.

This is E.G Webster & Son 1886-1928 silver plated. All the sterling 925 had a W inside a spiderweb although some of the spiderweb pieces were also plated. Very nice at the latest it is 86 years old I assume.

You say silver canister, Is this pure silver, plated, or just in color?

It is silver as it does tarnish. Look at the comments and you will see where a user states it is E.G Webster & Son 1886-1928 silver plated. Look on eBay for e.g webster & son tea caddy, you will see a few of these
