So interesting to hear of all the healing properties of Lapis Lazuli :-) Sounds like just the stone for me! You mentioned that these stones have been tumbled, I have some small lapis coin beads that are rough around the edges and was hoping I could put them in the tumbler. Thank you! Can you tell me if tumbling these stones you have here another time would make them even more polished or do they reach a maximum shine and that's it? I am not a rock hound, not yet anyway so I was wondering about that. I use my tumbler for polishing and work hardening my jewelry that I design and create.

Hi there! Thanks for your comments! I LOVE love love Lapis! It is one of my Faves..Lapis, Hematite, Malachite...I just got a gorgeous Moonstone necklace and a Labadorite one that a friend, who is an artisan, made for me. Wowza! Amazing!! To me and according to the people I have learned from who have been study rocks/gems for years, they do reach a maximum shine....without adding a coating. You have to be careful about adding a coating because you do not want to a) damage the physical beauty of the rock and 2) kill/block the meta properties, which is another reason you have to be careful what kinds of metal are used with them. Having said that, after stones have been out of the tumbler, sat around, etc, they do begin to lose their luster. In that case, you can toss them back in if you have removable bails or can "unstring" the beads. ;)

Thank you! These are from a supplier that I have used for many years. I also have been really studying gemstones for the past 2 yrs and to me, they appear to be natural and that is what my supplier said as well.
